Farm Journal Media needed to modernize GreenBook, a large agricultural product-label directory used to search pesticide, herbicide, and fungicide information. Valuebound migrated the legacy database-driven website to Drupal 8 and built a structured search experience organized by active ingredient, label, crop, manufacturer, pest, and product category.
GreenBook serves agricultural users across North America and manages information from hundreds of manufacturers and thousands of product labels. The Drupal migration created a more maintainable content platform for structured data, editorial management, search, and topic-based news.
The aim was to build a new label management system from the custom database Greenbook had been maintaining, for a superior authoring experience for the editors and a robust search system for its end users. Greenbook needed to deliver a website that would have data searchable by label, pest, manufacturer, pest and so on. It also needed to display latest news searchable by topic.
